Carissa started talking to the microwave.
Then she fell madly in love. Cold, dead eyes and all.
Henry did a bit of gardening.
While Mort played that stupid yard game.
Later that day, we threw a birthday party for Mort. Tyler Spline’s ghost showed up! Here, Rusty is introducing himself to his Great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather.
There’s no way Tyler’s ghost should still be around. Hm, that’s a glitch. Not a good sign.
Willie Spline also showed up! Willie is from the other branch of the family, the one that resulted when the four non-heirs got kicked out of the house.
As you can see, he inherited Delphine’s hair!
Then Mort blew out his candles and aged into this super fabulous outfit.
I had him phone his job and retire. The game asked me to confirm his retirement, and noted that his pension would be -§1,654.235 per day. Negative! Per day!
This intrigued me, so I clicked OK. And then the game crashed, and it was all lost.
Le sigh.

My gardener sim had just mastered gardening, and had become Elder-ized, the Simbot adopted two sons (who are terrified of him!) and she’d just planted her death flower plant…
Then the game crashed and I was too irritated to start over.
I re-did it today. The first son was saved before everything went kablooey, but everything else had to be redone. I’m annoyed that the second son showed up and didnt look the same as he did last night, and was terrified of his new dad. (why are all my sims anti-simbot?) That simbot is the father of four of the sims in the house. The other one is like a cousin or something, but doesnt show up as having any family ties to anyone for some reason.
I may start over with a new family after my favorite sim kicks off (the gardener sim) I might not bring in any Simbots in the next family. The simbot flies by, and everyone freaks and goes “a Simbot!!”, and then I have to click on them again to get them to go do whatever I want them to do.
Hopefully the Simbot will kick off soon and I’ll just stick with this family. (that Simbot wont die…he’s like my Elder sim from the last family I played that would never die.) I just dont feel like moving him out to be unleashed onto the world. Plus, I want to see if he shorts out before he dies.
Save early, save often! I probably shouldn’t be so smug that whenever my game crashes I have a backup of the last 10 minutes… This is all because when I was playing the sims 1 six years ago the electricians turned off the electricity without warning us and I lost three hours.
Interesting – I didn’t know that simbots could fall in love with a microwave.
I just wanted an excues to tell someone this: my sim burned waffles yesterday and he said “Oh glibnorb!” my new favourite word!
Is that the microwave that’s happily thinking about drugs or is it Clarissa?
